Process to Post a Live Photo on Instagram with Your iPhone

If you want to post a live photo on Instagram, make sure your device supports the feature. Live photos are only available for Apple devices running iOS 9 or later.

Take a Live photo

The first step in posting a live photo on Instagram is capturing the live photo. If you have an iPhone, open the camera app, select Live Photo, and then press the shutter button.

Open Instagram

Once you’ve taken the live photo, launch the Instagram app on your smartphone. If you haven’t already, log in with your username and password to access your account

Tap the Plus Icon

On the Instagram home screen, there is a plus icon at the bottom. Tap this icon to begin the process of uploading a new photo or video.

Select your live photo

When you tap the plus icon, you will be directed to the photo and video selection screen. From here, swipe left or right until you find the live photo you want to post.

Add a Caption and Hashtags

Post Your Live Photo

To do so, select the “Share” button at the bottom of the screen.

Your live photo will be uploaded to your Instagram feed, and your followers can watch the video by tapping on the cover photo.
